But where did it all start? We did a little research to find out.
Every so often a new trend comes along that leaves us wondering where on Earth it came from. Recently, we've seen Jesus bracelets adorning the wrists of teenagers everywhere.

We've traced them back to a dime store in Arizona where they were sold at the end of the 80's. They received a resurgance in popularity in the 1990's when students studying Christianity wore them for the duration of their academic career and beyond.
Originally based on the What Would Jesus Do slogan, the tiny little blocks of wood, strung together on an elastic bracelet with each block showing pictures of Jesus and his disciples, as well as other religious stories and characters.
W.W.J.D later became a snowclone, with the name Jesus replaced with that of a celebrity, actor or rock band.
They were recently brought back into the spotlight when Edward Cullen from the hit movie Twilight wore them in the second film. They are now widely available in all major retail outlets and clothes shops such as River Island.
Do you know anymore history or other origins? We'd be really interested to hear from you if so.
